Privacy at byteNine

byteNine is a Norwegian-registered software firm. We take privacy seriously and handle personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.

Information collected on this website

When you visit bytenine.com, we may collect limited information necessary to operate the site and understand how it is used:

  • Analytics — with your consent, anonymized usage data is collected via Google Analytics 4 to help us improve the site. Until consent is granted, no analytics cookies are set.
  • Account data — if you sign in, your chosen identity provider (Google, Microsoft, Apple or GitHub) shares a stable user identifier and email address with us. We never see or store your password.
  • Contact form submissions — name, email address and the contents of your message, used solely to respond to your enquiry.

Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies record your consent choice and basic interface state. Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics only after you accept them via the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time by reopening the cookie preferences dialog.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@bytenine.com.

App-specific privacy policies

Each byteNine application has its own privacy policy describing data practices specific to that app. These policies are linked from the App Store and Google Play listings and are reproduced verbatim here:
